WHY WE ARE HERE
Read the words. Understand the context. Welcome the person.
Extraordinary News is one worldwide, Christ-centered, non-denominational movement and show. We believe the Gospel should be shared freely and that thoughtful questions deserve a thoughtful response.
Our mission is to study the biblical text carefully, including its Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek language traditions. We distinguish what a passage says, how it is translated and how religious traditions interpret it. Differences in translation can influence teaching about women, marriage, belonging, worship and ordinary life. A disputed translation is a reason to investigate—not automatic proof of deliberate manipulation.
We invite all people to learn, including people who have felt excluded, LGBTQ visitors and neighbors of different religious backgrounds. Everyone is welcome to ask questions and attend our free Bible study.
Join us every Wednesday in Central Park
8:00 PM Eastern — in front of the USS Maine Monument near Columbus Circle, at West 59th Street and Central Park West in New York City. Our 90-minute Bible study includes 30 minutes of opening worship, 45 minutes of the message, and 15 minutes of closing worship. Children and families are welcome.
We study the original-language context to better understand the Scriptures rather than build another denominational doctrine. This is a free Bible study, not a requirement to join a church.
